Marketplace Events Acquires Two Holiday Shows from Showcase Events and Launches in Omaha Growing Portfolio to 14 Holiday Shows

CLEVELAND, Ohio – February 2, 2024 – After closing a deal to acquire two holiday shows from O’Loughlin Trade Shows (OTS) in the Pacific Northwest in January, Marketplace Events today announced the acquisition of two more holiday shows out west, bringing their total portfolio of holiday shows to 14 annual events.

“We have had great success in this category and are pleased to announce the purchase of holiday shows in Salt Lake City and Colorado Springs from Showcase Events–the same company from which we purchased our Denver and Tacoma Christmas shows,” explained Tom Baugh, CEO at Marketplace Events.

The 25th Annual Salt Lake Family Christmas Gift Show, runs November 14-16, 2024 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, UT, where the company already runs three home shows.  The show attracts 30,000 attendees and 485 exhibitors annually.  The Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show, will run November 15-17, 2024 at the Colorado Springs Event Center and typically draws 8,000 shoppers and 225 exhibitors.

The company is also pleased to announce that Dena Sablan, who has worked with Showcase Events for more than a decade, will join MPE to work on these shows.

Lastly, MPE is enthusiastic to launch a brand new show in Omaha in 2024. “This should be especially good news for our Holiday Boutique exhibitors in Des Moines who can now do consecutive weekends of shows in the geographic sister cities of Omaha and then Des Moines the following weekend,” said Baugh. The new Omaha Holiday Boutique runs November 8-10, 2024 at the CHI Health Center, Omaha, NE.
