CLEVELAND, Ohio – January 27, 2026:   Marketplace Events (MPE), North America’s largest business-to-consumer show producer, today announced the launch of three new consumer shows in the sport/outdoor category to take place in Q1 of 2027 in Salt Lake City, Denver and Winnipeg. The three launches bring the total number of consumer sport and outdoor shows operated by MPE to 20, aggressive growth in just under two years, since entering the category in March of 2024 with their first purchase of four sport shows from O’Loughlin Trade Show Group. 

“The early success and rapid growth of the sport shows across our portfolio, in such a short time, is what drove us to become even more aggressive in trying to add new shows in the category, said Mark White, CEO of Marketplace Events.

The new shows in Salt Lake City and Denver will be led by Pete O’Loughlin, A.J. O’Loughlin and Bob O’Loughlin, who joined Marketplace Events last December specifically to focus on driving sales and growing these shows in these two important markets. “I’m excited to be back doing what I love and helping Marketplace Events launch these shows,” said Bob. “They fit well into what will now be a robust 7-show series in the Western US,” he said. They already produce a boat and sport show in Portland, as well as sport shows in Redmond, OR, Puyallup, WA and Anchorage, AK. “Allowing our customers to book into seven shows at once just simplifies the process for the hundreds of exhibitors and sponsors that have been with these shows for decades,” he continued. 

The SLC Sport & Outdoor Show will run January 8-11, 2027 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Marketplace Events operates four other events in this venue including three home shows and a holiday shopping show.

The Denver Sport & Outdoor Show will run February 11-14, 2027 at the new LVC at the National Western Center in Denver, CO. This will be the 5th show operated by Marketplace Events in Denver as the company runs a home show and holiday show in the new Western Center along with the Colorado Garden & Home Show and it’s fall counterpart which both run downtown.

The new Manitoba Sport & Outdoor Show will run March 5-7, 2027 at the RBC Convention Center in Winnipeg, MB where Marketplace Events also runs two annual home shows. Manitoba will become part of a 4-show series of Western Canadian sport and outdoor shows that also includes events in Abbotsford, BC, Calgary, AB and Edmonton, AB.
