Marketplace Events Expands Trade Show Portfolio with Purchase of America's Premier Regional Building & Construction Shows

Brings portfolio to 126 annual events in North America

CLEVELAND, Ohio – December 15, 2025:   Marketplace Events (MPE), North America’s premier business-to-consumer show producer, is materially expanding its business-to-business footprint as they announced today the largest acquisition in the company’s history, with the purchase of 10 Build Expo trade shows from International Conference Management, Inc.

These regional building and construction industry shows align well with the company’s 65 consumer home shows with approximately 30% of the Build Expo exhibitors also participating in MPE home shows in the markets where both events occur annually.

"The Build Expo trade shows are a natural fit as we continue to expand our regional trade show roster," said Mark White, CEO of Marketplace Events. The company first entered the trade show space last year when they acquired 10 regional trade events in Canada as part of their acquisition of Master Promotions. "It also helps expand our market reach by getting us into larger metros like Dallas and Los Angeles," explained White.  "Better yet, the dynamics for expansion are significant. We have good options for launching new Build Expos in markets where we have strong home shows, including some markets where we produce three home shows every year."

The 10 Build Expo Shows typically attract just over 200 exhibitors and 2,500 trade attendees from the region’s top commercial and residential building and construction companies. The shows run in markets where MPE already operates including Nashville, Atlanta, Houston and Charlotte and in six other markets including LA, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.

The completion of this deal brings the total number of events produced by the company to 126. The 31-person Build Expo staff currently associated with the 10 shows will join Marketplace Events and continue in their current roles.

"My family and our talented team are proud to have built this business up to where it is today and we are pleased to turn it over to the capable hands of the team at Marketplace Events," said J.P. Bryant, Owner of Build Expo, USA. J.P.’s son Tyler Bryant, who has spent the past 18 years in a leadership role with Build Expo, will join MPE as Vice President of the division. "I’m excited for the opportunity to continue to grow these incredible shows by taking advantage of the systems and processes MPE offers, which will allow doing business with us to be even easier for our customers," said Tyler Bryant.
